In January, I re-downloaded the Mercari app and made my first sale(s) since 2020! Keep reading to see how much I made.
One of my goals for the new year (and I’m sure it was many of yours too) was to increase my income by any way necessary, whether it’s through getting a raise at work or earning some extra money on the side.
In January, I decided I was going to do the latter by re-downloading the Mercari selling app to not only earn some extra cash, but also declutter my bedroom (which is another focus of mine for 2023).
If you’re not familiar with Mercari, it’s basically a selling app that works similar to other apps like eBay, Poshmark, and Depop.
It allows you to sell items like clothing, home decor, sneakers, handbags, electronics, and video game consoles. (Just take a look at their app, you can literally buy and sell anything on there!)

As you can see in the screenshot above, I listed a total of 5 items for the month and made 2 sales that left me with $39.06 in profit.
Not bad for doing all this from the comfort of my own bedroom and quick trips to the post office!
If you’ve been keeping up with me on Instagram, you’d probably know that for February I set a goal of listing 10 new items on Mercari.
Ideally, this would help me make even more sales (as I’d be occupying more “real estate” on Mercari), so be sure to stay tuned for how I do in February!
