March was a great month for me, personally and financially! Read on to see how this month went for me.
Net Worth
My net worth has surpassed $80,000 this month and I am right on track to hitting that much-coveted goal of $100k, most likely this year!
It was up over a whopping $6,000 this month, which has been the highest monthly increase so far this year!
My biggest highlight from March was that I SURPASSED $50k IN INVESTMENTS!! (Throwing a party for myself lol – but in all seriousness, I will be doing a separate IG post and blog on this very soon)
Investments
- General Investing – $500
- 401(k) – $184.62
This comes out to a total of $685.
I missed out on contributing to my Roth IRA, however I will make up for it by investing double the amount in April.
I was consistent with my General Investing and 401(k), as those accounts have auto-contributions set up.
I’m planning on having a big investing month for April (particularly within my ~new brokerage account~)!
Spending
- Travel/Vacation – $493
- Shopping – $144
- Gas – $75
- Restaurants – $60
- Bills – $34
- Entertainment/Recreation – $25
- Software Subscriptions – $21
This all came out to a total of $852 for the month.
My biggest expense in March by far was travel expenses – I officially booked my flights for the trip I’m taking in May – more on that soon!
I also surprised myself by not spending that much on pickleball (I classify that under “Entertainment/Recreation” in my Rocket Money app). It was a busy month with schoolwork after all.
I expect my spending to more as I prepare for my upcoming trip and have more social outings with friends!
Passive Income
- Dividends – $22.59
- Interest – $7.46
My passive income for March came out to a total of $30.05.
This was another underwhelming month, due to the fact that again I did not make a single reselling sale.
I’m hoping to make some extra income in April, beyond dividends and interest.
