In this post, I’ll be pulling back the curtains on my Roth IRA portfolio.
This is my current Roth IRA portfolio, with the percentages of each of my holdings:
As you can see, I don’t have a whole lot of holdings as of right now, and that’s on purpose (sorta!). I used a robo-advisor to pick out my allocation for me.
In the pie chart, you will see that my largest holding is VTI (Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund), at 31.2% of my portfolio.
If you follow me on Instagram, you would know that I LOVE index funds, especially index funds that comprise the entirety of the U.S. stock market!
I’m also a huge fan of Vanguard index funds in general, and my portfolio includes many different Vanguard index funds, such as VEA (Vanguard Developed Markets Index Fund) and VWO (Vanguard Emerging Markets Stock Index Fund).
While I mostly hold index funds in this account, I also hold a few bond ETFs, such as AGG (iShares Core US Aggregate Bond ETF).
I know this allocation isn’t perfect, but it works for me right now. This is only my first year of having a Roth IRA, so I’m definitely planning on switching up the allocations in the future.
