Welcome to my first net worth update for 2023!
Here’s the breakdown by category:
My net worth is now $75,396! This puts me even closer to my goal of $100k, which I hope to hit in 2024.
What a way to start off the new year!
Here are some notable highlights from January:
- I officially started contributing to my 2023 sinking funds – I created sinking funds for vacation, school/tuition, and self-care. These sinking funds are helping me better budget my money and have a tangible goal to works towards.
- I closed General Investing 2 – I closed this account because I wanted to better consolidate my investment accounts. In the meantime, this money is sitting in my savings account until I transfer it to my ~new~ investment account that I will be using to experiment with different assets and strategies.
- All of my investments grew this month – January was a good month for the market overall, making it a good month for my investments!
My net worth increased by $3,000 since December, mostly due to the market doing well in January.
I’m hoping to see another month in the green for February, especially as I continue contributing to each of my accounts and start up my new account (which I will be posting about soon).
With 2023 off to such a good start, I’m excited to see what the rest of the year will look like for my finances!
